With a few updates since 2011, the 2015-2017 Mustang GT still boasts the ever popular, results driven Coyote engine platform. First thing that comes to mind, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" holds true for the coyote platform and S550 chassis. Major exterior/ interior changes have been made since 2011 and slight changes to the coyote engine have been made, such as more power availability and slightly stronger internals in the Gen 2 and 3 coyote motor.
The Gen 2 coyote motor comes with 435 hp @ 7500 rpm and 400 lb-ft @ 4600 rpm from a 5.0-liter (302 Cubic Inch) port-injected "Coyote" V8 powerplant. Drivetrain you can see the RWD w/ 6-speed manual transmission from the known MT82 (or optional 6-speed auto trans also known as the 6R80).
