With a few updates since 2011, the 2018-2023 Mustang GT still boasts the ever popular, results driven Coyote engine platform. First thing that comes to mind, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" holds true for the coyote platform and S550 chassis. Subtle exterior changes have been made since 2015 and slight changes to the coyote have been made, such as direct port injection and slightly stronger internals in the Gen 2 and 3 coyote motor.
The Gen 3 coyote motor comes with 460 hp @ 7500 rpm and 420 lb-ft @ 4600 rpm from a 5.0-liter (302 Cubic Inch) direct-injected "Coyote" V8 powerplant. Drivetrain you can see the RWD w/ 6-speed manual transmission from the known MT82 (or optional 10-speed auto trans also known as the 10R80).
